About Us
We wish you a warm welcome to Bernardo Heights Veterinary Hospital!
Dr. Fenner, Dr. Raichel and our team at our clinic have been serving the pets of Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Penasquitos, 4S Ranch, Poway, Carmel Mountain Ranch and other areas of north San Diego County for 23 years.
We have been a certified American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) member hospital since opening. We are also proud to be members of the AVMA, CVMA, SDCVMA, and the Rancho Bernardo Chamber of Commerce.
Our goal is to provide you and your pets with the best possible care in a professional, compassionate, comfortable family setting. We believe that pets are part of the family and we hope to keep them healthy and happy for years to come. We are very proud of our hospital and we hope that your will refer your friends and family to our practice
Our objectives in this veterinary hospital are the same as yours.
To keep your pets healthy
To return them to health if they become ill or injured; and
To provide relief from pain, fear or discomfort.
We want to provide care that is the best available while maintaining a friendly compassionate relationship with both the patient and you, the client. We will treat your pets as we would our own.
We believe strongly in preventive care. Many conditions can be prevented, or treated more easily, if identified in their early stages. For this reason, we recommend a yearly physcal examination, parasite check, necessary laboratory tests, and appropriate vaccinations for all pets. In older pets, more frequent examinations may be advisable, since each year of a dog's or cat's life is equivalent to five years of a human's life.
We believe that a well-informed person can provide better care for their pets. For this reason we try to explain to you the details of your pet's diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. To help in explanations we may use information brochures or other client education aids. If you have any questions at any time about your pet's condition or about pet health care in general, do not hesitate to ask.
